Glad to hear your doing well!  :bigsmyl:  It was my sons first time going out and deer hunting with me. His BIG eyes and smile took all the darkness out of me and made me feel alive once again!  :campfire:

Take your time and get better! Better days are still to come.

Watch your top knot!

Just got in from camp, and saw your name on the Prayer thread. Never seen you in this forum, about as hard to imagine as you not being able to carry your mule to deer camp. I bet your doctor is up there drinking all your Basil Hayden.

At any rate, i am terribly sorry that you are missing camp this year. I missed it a couple of years ago and it is like being in a foreign land where nobody speaks your tongue. I hope the ache isn't too sharp, and speaking of sharp, that nurse did sterilize your scalpels before she gave them back, right?

I struck out again this year, except for the day that I took my .22 out for squirrels. I had been hunting with my .54, but wanted a fun hunt where I might actually kill something. Sat on a ridge where red pine turned into a hardwood bowl, looking for gray and fox squirrels. Bagged a murky pic of a 200 pound 6-point at 40 yards. Broadside. Five o'clock in the evening. Just my luck. Your luck has always beat mine all hollow, so I know you'll be just fine.

It would have been a miserable drag out of there.    "[dntthnk]"

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Hey Ron, Glad you are home, hope you can get some time in the woods for your soul. Heal up my friend.
