It's been a really good day. I received the type1 B handle (serial#1490). It belonged to Judd Cooney, noted author and photographer, also in the bow hunter hall of fame. Fred Bear gave him this bow as a personal gift. He know longer shoots it and wanted it be used. He has also sent me documentation supporting the history of this bow. I am proud to get it and will use it as my hunting bow. As said by many in the post, these bears are a "sickness". Steve

William, nice case. What year is your bow?
My opinion is the bow is a late 80's or early 90's.
