What if your form is not exactly perfect, but your accuracy is above average?

Should you fix your form and compromise your accuracy?

Depends....

(Edit). Sorry, shouldn't have left that hanging. If you believe that you can improve, and have the desire to improve, then you will most likely improve if you learn standard archery form.

So what it "depends" on is if you're willing to spend the time learning something different with no guarantee that you will be able to shoot better than you already are able to.  Probably what will happen is that you may initially shoot worse for a while as you are learning to do things differently, but after you master the new skills you will end up shooting better.  But that's not the case with everyone, and I'm aware of people who have decided that it's better to go back to the way they were shooting before.

I wouldn't mess with anything this close to hunting season. Im not much of a golfer but Jim Furyk and Lee Trevino have one of the most ugly and unorthodox golf swings you will ever watch, but the golf ball goes where they aim. I guess what Im trying to say is "theres more than one way to skin a cat." If your shooting well I wouldn't mess with it.

I agree, there is nothing wrong with sticking to what works. Archery is plenty Mental. How your mind and body work together to complete the shot is yours and yours alone. Took me a long time to figure that out after messing with my form and all sorts of voodoo archery theory.

Now that's GREAT right there!!!

I was shooting what I considered pretty good before I went to Rod Jenkins clinic. I truly believe that one's shooting will plateau without learning a repeatable shot sequence, and good form.

I learned that being consistent works just fine, but being consistent and doing most everything correct works even better. I will say that shooting has become more fun for me now that if I mess up a shot I now know why.
