I experimented with a new anchor yesterday that I kinda liked. I lock the web of my thumb and index finger behind the corner of my jaw. Kinda need a sticky outy jaw for this but seems solid and allows good alignment

Fairly common anchor. I've tried it but found it too variable so I've gone back to under the chin.

That's where I anchor. To keep it from floating I also use the index finger behind my teeth right in the notch between upper and lower jaw.

What do you mean by under your chin Rob?

I use the same anchor and have for four years now. It is the only way I can match Terry's form clock.

That's my hunting anchor as well. I also touch the index finger to a specific tooth on my upper jaw.

Under the chin is a standard target anchor where your hand is under your chin and the string touches the centre of your chin and nose. Allows easy lining up with both eyes open and naturally looking down the arrow.

Main drawback is that gap shooters have really big gaps as the nock is low relative to your eyes. Stringwalking gets interesting sometimes with the arrow nock on your nose or embedded in your chin  :)

Commonly use that anchor, though maintaining a soft anchor, for ranges beyond my point-on.
