I have a new Static Tip recurve, and my hand sits nice and high, right under the shelf.

in initial shooting, I've had some feathers eating up the skin on my left hand between thuumb and forefinger.

I've done a bit of nock turning for the cock feather, but I was also wondering if Nock Height and or spine could also cause this?

Thank you

I believe personally that nock height is the biggest impactor on this. I have soem bows that i shoot off the hand and those where the nock point is farther from the center i get cut up more. As far as with a shelf i haven't had that problem but i would guess that rotating the feathers might address that problem.

Gator ,I have the same problem with one of my longbows. The way I stopped was to go from right helical to left helical and that eliminated the problem. I was getting frustated trying everything else when I remembered I had this problem once before with a different bow and switching stopped it.  :archer:    :dunno:
