I am shooting a 66" longbow that has a real narrow shelf. I have always shot recurves and longbows that have a fairly deep shelf and with this bow I seem to have a terrible problem. MY ARROW COMES OFF THE REST AS I AM DRAWING!   :(
It doesn't do it very often but it does it often enough to concern me. I shoot left handed and when it comes off I hit 2 feet to the right of where I am looking.
Yesterday it happened when I shot a buck and I just grazed the inside of his hind leg!   :banghead:   Now it is really messing with my head and I will switch bows if I need to but I really shoot this one good until my problem rears its ugly head.
I have tried torquing the string, moving grip position, and canting the bow, with no luck.   :(    Any advice is appreciated.   :)

Try shooting with a finger tab with a finger separator. You might be pinching the arrow.Might also try to relax the back of the drawing hand,if its too tense, you might be torquing the string and twisting the arrow off the shelf.

Forgot to say I shoot 3 under with a deep hook. I may have solved my own problem this morning while out hunting. I have my bow hand up so the arrow actually gently slides along my index finger keeping it from comming off the shelf. Hopefull this works.
