Love my Damon Howatt Hunter,,but always wanted a Bear Super Kodiak.....Thought about switching but never shot a Kodiak. Can someone with more knowledge than me give me your opinion----THANKA

Both are great shooting Bows, I think it would come down to personal preference and fit/feel.  Personally I think the DH may perform better but prefer the feel of the SK.

I agree completely with Charlie, and since I am a Charlie too, here are two Charlies who agree   :D    :D    :D
Jesus Saves (ROM 10:13)

Stumpkiller

Add a third Charlie.

Strong and reliable as Bear Super Kodiaks are, the Hunter is a "zippier" bow for a given draw weight (IMHE).

Personally I like the grip better, also.

Agreed.  Both good bows.  I prefer the Hunter.

I have seen a couple of Howatt Hunters that have a really nice low grip.  I have a number of SKs, I like the grip on some the older models more than the higher and fuller grips on the one new phenolic SK that a local shooter has.  I do not like the feel of the high grip DH Hunters at all. I do not know if one can still get custom grips on the DH Hunter.  If I were to shoot a high grip of either bow, I would get out the rasps, files and sand paper and fix it.
