My A&H Archery ACS bows are very quiet.  I can shoot them without string silencers and they are quieter than most other bows that have silencers installed.  Put silencers on the string and you hear nothing but a very quiet "thump" on release.

The Cari-bow "Peregrine" will stack up well with any R/D longbow mentioned. Great performer and quiet as a church mouse. Abe Penner knows what he is doing.   :shaka:

Good to hear Bill.

My Peregrine is on order...

Can't wait to have that masterpiece in my hands.

Another +6 for Treadway! The group I was shooting with at TBOF this past weekend all shot our Black Swamps for the Longbow & Traditional classes. 2 women and 4 men. Oh, my daughter shot her tiny longbow too, but it's not a Treadway

I have a liberty, and although quiet, I would call it a mild R/D.  For a hybrid, Toelke whip is the quietest I have shot.

I feel ya.   Good info to know.  Understand that even the quietest bow can be made loud with a plucked release, a super light arrow, holding the handle in a manner not suited to its tune or tiller, or using stiff arrows that bounce off the riser.  What is quiet in one application may not be in another.
