Rock 'N Bow

I have no experience with the Halo riser but a tried a friend's Vapor riser with DAS foam core long length longbow limbs for 58" in total length. Even with a 63# draw weight it was super smooth and exceptionally quiet at my 29" draw. The adjustable sideplate is a nice extra.

I love my Tribe Halo! I put Trad Tech longbow limbs on it and have barely touched my Hoyt Buffalo since.

Saw a young man with a halo riser and BF extreme limbs last weekend at Compton. Excellent set up and he could shoot lights out with it.
If it isn't life or death, it's no big deal.

And he just got it a week earlier.  He said he really liked it.

The two risers that you have listed are both very nice. They are however, very different. The VPA is a 13 inch riser with a very conventional grip geometry. The Halo is an 18inch riser with a bare bones torque free type grip. They have very different shooting characteristics. I would do everything that I can to shoot both before making a purchase. I can tell you that I wish I would have bought one of the Halos before they jacked up the price to almost 500. Search Longbow Dan on facebook. He has done a pretty good review of the Halo.

Agreed.  For what that riser is, it shouldn't cost more than 300.00 retail.

thanks for the advice guys , I shot the x3 from tribe a while ago , only a few shots though not enough to get a real idea of how good/bad it was . I have a friend that has a vapour but its left handed . I like the idea of the halo but as you've said the price does seem a little steep .

I have the VPA Vapor riser and love it....I tried medium and long limbs on it and found I liked it with the long limbs better - this makes a very smooth pulling 58" bow. The Jaegar grip that comes with the riser is the best I have ever used.
LONG LIVE THE LONGBOW!
