I think it means you can get awfully good at doing something the wrong way if you do it over and over again.(keep repeating the same mistakes).

I have a sister in law I could tell you about..3 marriages, 3 car repossesions, 2 bankruptcies and now she's in trouble again and probably going to file bankruptcy again..........she awfully good at doing things the wrong way

I think it is just meant to open your eyes and make you think.  Means many things to many people, but there is a bottom line to it and I think you guys hit it pretty close.
