Hello all,

I'm our counties 4H lead archery instructor. We are getting some money to buy new bows for the kids. Something like $600. I'd like to get at least 4 new bows if I can. My question is what bows and who has them. I'd rather stick with a 3 peice recurves or simalar. Basical something to last a long time. And they should be around the 20lbs range.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.

thanks in advance.

I dont know how old the kids are but it would be a good project for them to make them...

Geno,
The problem is time with them. We get 40-50 kids and they might come every other week. When they come we mainly shoot. I have to run the range during that time.   Otherwise I would be all for them making thier own.

SnailSkin, our group uses the ones like 3 Rivers sells. They have 20# and up and are pretty reasonable. We also have alot of the fiberglass bows because the others were to long for some of the kids. They shoot alot of the Brave bows and the Mathews Genesis also. As long as they're shooting.

We had over 100 kids last year including the K-3, not sure how many this year.
