I decided yesterday to make a bow for my dad.
He is recovering from heart/lungs problems, and he is doing very well for last months.

He stopped shooting the bow about 40 years ago, because of working crazy hours to provide for his family, and never started shooting the bow again.

Now I want to make a special gift for him, I want to make a super smooth drawing bow, fun to shoot.

What poundage should I look for?
he is 70+ years old, active again.

Should it be 30, 35, 40?
Should I plan on a BBO or a selfbow?

I'd recommend 30# and look at something that the self is cut past center.
