ok yall, don't laugh, I know it's overkill. I shoot a 86# @ 29.5" Jeffery royal with a retriever. It was my hunting bow until I got my Morrison, and I had to find a use for it before my wife said "why do you keep a bow you don't use?"

58# Pronghorn 3-piece longbow fitted with an AMS retriever. I installed a couple of sight inserts into th side of the riser, specifically for the reel. They're barely noticeable  :D

I use an old 55lb Pearson Mustang with an old bear open face hand real.  I use as long as fiberglass arrow as I can find with no vanes and Muzzy fish heads.

For those that do not want to drill holes in their bows, I really recommend the gadget adapter, or traditional mounting bracket.  It is a steel bracket with tapped holes that attaches to the bow with heavy rubber bands. You just stretch and wrap the bands around the bow. The bands have holes in them that fit over a small peg on the bracket. I think the bracket is made by Great Northern because it works just like their quivers. Then the reel screws right to the steel bracket. That is how I attached the retriever to my bow in the bottom pic.  The reel doesn't move a bit, even when fighting fish.

Here is a close-up of to the traditional mounting bracket from  http://www.kustom-king.com/:

I use a Retreiver reel and Muzzy points and sunglasses--essential equipment.

Clint knows what he's talking about with the 'rays--even the smaller ones fight like the devil.  If you chase those, definately use a rig with a float, else you are liable to loose your bow.

I lost my Costa Del Mars a month ago.  I am still trying to get up the nerve to bite the bullet and buy a new pair.  They are quality sunglasses.
