Just curious. They made pretty nice look'n bows.
Thanks

CaseyK

I have no idea what happened to them. I was recently trying to look at their stuff online and saw that they haven't updated anything in over a year or 2. No updates to their bow website, outfitter site, or social media pages. I found a thread on the Rockslide Forum where a couple people commented that "RER bows is gone." So it sounds like they are no longer in business.  Haven't found a reason why, which is okay I guess cause it's really not my business.

Chester Floyd bought them and built them for several years in Montana. He is not currently building bows.

He still owns the business and equipment but must have changed directions with his life and career.

Thanks for the response. It is sad, they were making some nice look'n bows.

I heard they stopped building bows a little over a year ago.

The original owner of RER sold. The new owners seem to have gone out of business.

I doe have a RER 3 piece recursive original.  for sale. Contact me for specs.

The original owners made excellent bows, I had several different models and the were among the best out there. Real shame that they are gone !!

I still own one of the last Kevin and a Sue made All Bocote and it's the Arroyo static.
Looks as good as the day I received it .
It is one bow I could Never let go cause I took my biggest buck on the ground with it and it has special meaning to it now. :archer:

Keefer, that is truly an amazing buck!

John,
Thank you for turning my picture correctly .I used to be able to do it but forgot and can't seem to post it the correct way anymore.
I was truly Blessed to even witness this buck in 2017 cause I never knew anything like that even existed until he came cruising by me while I was sitting in my Huntmore 360 chair behind a rootball.
Thanks for the compliments John and I wished Kevin and Sue still owned the company cause I would be investing in a lighter one . This one is 50#@28" and I can shoot it but in 1985 I had my right hand severed in a log splitter and reattached mid palm.
With that I have a difficult time holding long and my middle, ring and pinky finger are limited on how far they open.
I've tried release aids and made a few but nothing compares to holding the string split style. For me.
I have lately had several bows made in the high 30 weight range and low to mid 40s and that seems to help .
RER Arroyo was my favorite model and this is my second I owned.
It's a 2012 model and I got it off a fella that owned it 1 month in a trade .

I also had a 54" Arroyo that Kevin made for me. I took it mostly for turkey hunting in my blind. RER bows had quite a following in northern Wis. Seemed like everyone was shooting one at the 3D tournaments. Keef, congrats on the awesome buck!

Kevin and Sue were great people.  They came down to the TBOF state shoot once and were great ambassadors for the sport.  I always liked their bows.
