Looking for some hardwood Arrow makers haven't  been impressed with the 3 rivers POC arrows for stump shooting ran across a maker by the name of forester wood arrows but he isn't shipping  currently

Oh bother,
I was going to highly recommend Kevin Forrester Wood Shafts, nothing but great things to say about his service and his Red Balau arrow shafts. They're pretty much all I've been shooting from my 75lb longbow since 2013, and I shoot it an awful lot.

But if he's not shipping at present, well I don't actually have any experience with any others, sorry.

Best

Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,
Most of all, may the appreciation and the gratitude of what we do keep us humble......

Yeah  I went to order some maple shafts and it said he was moving last August. I would have thought he would have been ready to take orders by now. I emailed him yesterday and tried calling but the number posted didn't lead to him I might try Facebook later today.

Pine hollow longbows sells hickory shafts

If you want indestructible shafts you can always shoot the bamboo shafts they sell on eBay.

How are the hickory arrows do they need straightened often after being sealed.

Eric Krewson

I have found hickory to be a lot like ash, some stay straight but most need an occasional straightening.

Just called pine hollows and gor a test kit coming for his hickory shafts. His supplier passed away and he will be discontinuing the hickory line up. He still has limited supplies for sale. About to the point of cutting my own shafts.

Have to beat the drum for Red Balau as well.

I agree 100%!!  I thought ash was tough until a friend of mine made me some bamboo arrows.

Do you have somewhere I could get the red balau

Tpetersen-14

I think I will order a set of bamboo shafts but I have also started to make a jig to turn my own hardwood shafts just to see if I can make them

Pine Hollow must have used Dan Putz as a supplier, he was the MAN for hickory ramrods for for M/L rifles, his were almost flawless with no grain runout like the junk the other suppliers sent out.

I had bought 10 ramrod blanks from him just a few weeks before he passed.

If he made Pine Hollow's hickory arrow shafting they had to be extra good.
