Bare shaft tuning ?

I'm a lefty shooting a Stalker Wolverine with Static limbs.  51#'s @27 inches . I pull a full 27 inches. My question is ,I started with Gold Tip Traditional Classic shaft,( the one with the ballistic collar) in 500 spine. I want to shoot 160 Grain heads as I have some. The shaft was full length and I trimmed 1/4 inch at a time,I am now down to 27 1/2 inches on the shaft and it still shoots nock right. What am I over looking or do I need to go to a 400 spine arrow. Thank you for any guidance. My first foray into carbon arrows.

I believe the full length shaft is 32", so you cut 4.5" off. Did the nock right improve at all as you shortened?  Could be a false weak. Not familiar with amount of center shot with that bow. If you can shoot the full length with a much heavier point and see what happens, if not false weak it will get weaker. Impact point with fletched and bare shaft of same length is more important than nock angle.

Start off by getting some 100, 125, and 145 grain field points. There's no way it should be weak cut to 27.5" with a 100 grain point.  If it is still weak, then there might be other problems, like a false weak reading.  OTOH, if you find the crossover point where it is not weak, say with a 125 grain point on your 27.5" shaft, then that would be a good indication that you should be shooting .400 spine shafts, so you can use your 165 grain heads and start again with full length 400's and cut your way down again.

I believe those stalkers are cut well past center. Like 3/16" if my memory is correct. You could try building out the strike plate some if they are only slightly nock right. If they're waay nock right then do what McDave says.

Add side plate thickness, decrease point weight, or increase brace height for a weak arrow. 
I shoot full length 500's for bows in the 40# range. I think you should try 400's if you want to shoot 160gr heads.
And a 27.5" length with a 27' draw is now a target arrow..... ouch.....

Im having a bit of trouble with a stalker coyote right now. Love tge bow but hate the giant and indented shelf. The biggest thing I finally realized was to rip off those awful velcro rests and strike plates and put on BW calf hair everything.
