Now I have had chance to wear it a few times, its great. Very pleased indeed I have only had a thin layer underneath at the minute we are not too cold around the 0 mark can't wait for it to be colder to try it out but its going to be my go to smock now

Everyone raves about how warm these are.  Out of curiosity how warm are they? All day sit in -20 with just a sweater on warm?  Of course I'd be wearing pants and a smile too...

How many times a year do you sit in -20 degree weather all day?

Are all you northern guys descended from Vikings? I would be layered up a lot heavier in your climate than guys are describing here. I swap from wool to Army M65 jacket with liner. Either way, I layer fairly heavily even in our Georgia winter. In my opinion, one of the best characteristics of Theresa's stuff is that is long enough that it doesn't ride up and expose the kidney area to the cold. I have 4 pieces of her stuff and really like it, even though, we don't have enough severe cold to need it that many days in the woods. But when I need it, I have it.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. I'm from jersey and it doesn't get crazy cold but I'm still layered up a ton in the 20s ANC teens

I'm from Iowa and evidently not a true "Viking" in the thermal management department... I have several pieces of the Asbell Clothing and I love them. That being said I layer up pretty significantly for treestand hunting below 25 degrees, especially if there's wind or rain... One of the absolute most useful pieces of the Asbell Line is their least fancy, it's the tall neck fleece windblocker vest. It's higher in the back of the neck than the front but it goes up high or can be pulled down. That thing blocks wind and protects your core like no other. I have two of them and have even wore two of them in 0 deg.Fah windy conditions for long sits. Incredible. Plus you will find many uses for it and your family outside of hunting.

It's not outer layer pretty and some will say you need it to be on the outside for maximum protection, but I say just plain use it however you want, it works and will extend any layering system...
