Hi all. I keep checking this site out, finally decided to register. Ive been bowhunting and shooting for 23 years with compounds. I would like to give traditional shooting a try, any suggestions would be helpful. I perfer the feel of longbows over recurves, any suggetions? I hunt primaraly whitetails, and turkeys. So im thinking 45-50# draw would be sufficent?
I know i have a ton to learn, and work on before worring about the proper hunting #, i just thought if i buy a bow, id like to get something that i could evevntually use for hunting.
Thanks much. Steve.
Steve.

Hey Steve, welcome!!!
#45-50 for whitetails & turkey is fine. It's all about form. Shoot as many bows as you can before you decide. Then go for it.
Keep coming back & asking. There's at least a thousand years of experience here waiting to answer your questions.

Good luck!

Larry
Age brings us the priceless gift of experience and knowledge. . . Priceless, but not free.
