What'sthe best Leathter dressing/saver

I have several leather quivers and was told snow seal is a good leather dressing , what's the best to protect and prolong the life of leather?

I use Snow seal on boots and Pitchblend on everything else..

Montana Pitch Blend is what I use.
I have heard the Snow Seal has silicon to make it more waterproof but it clogs the pores and doesn't let the leather breath. I don't know that as a fact though.

I'm a firm believer in keeping the leather clean so a good saddle soap is my standard. After that I light wipe down with Lexol leather preservative does good for me.

I've got an original Howard Hill machine stitched quiver that's over 50 years old and still going strong.

Montana Pitch Blend or Obenauf's Started with the first but have been using the second more these last few years...

I've had good luck...though fairly limited experience with Obenauf's products.

I used to use a product called Finnish Bear Grease. I haven't seen it in a number of years and don't know if it is still made. I had good luck with it. Mink oil works pretty well for me now.

I strongly prefer Obenaufs, the other popular option has caused leather products, IE shooting glove finger stalls or boots, to stretch quite a bit.

I like Montana Pitch Blend. I've used mink oil and real bear grease also.

Do yourself a favor and try Tandy Leathers Hide rejuvenator, it's the best to bring old dried out leather back to life

Ron, does the hide rejuvenator cause leather to stretch at all? I looked at the link and may have to try some one day.

I echo Sam....

Snowseal is a good product for leather boots in a wet / slush snow condition. It works fairly well. Used it for years in Michigan with good luck.

I have used Montana Pitch Blend on archery leather (quivers, stiff/new gloves, etc) with decent results.
