Yes wait until it loses no more weight. 100% accurate everytime.
The problem with pin meters is that if they don't have an option to programme in the wood type they are unlikely to be accurate. Look into how they work  ;)

I found the weight method best for me to ,it always surprises me how long dense woods like osage & BL take to acclimate if left in stave form but the up side is they usually take some nice even natural reflex when dried inside 50 % RH or better ,white woods like Hickory & Maple cure quicker also take nice natural reflex most of the time ! I have been getting much nicer bows with wood cured like that.
