About a year ago my 9 year old grandson said he wanted to make a bow and asked if i would help, of course i said yes, he wanted to build a recurve  so we took a pc of osage and got a ring chased, profile shaped and got it bending about 10" , then got the caul out and he put the hooks in with a heat gun. Then it sat for a long while before we got to work it again, this weekend we got a lot done and got it shooting. Still needs finish work but looking good it has a pretty good twist in the top limb that makes the fade look sriffer from one side
