just curious if anyone has tried using a turks head as a temporary knock. i was going to whip a couple up out of some 550 laying around , for the long string. i dont see why it wouldnt work , but im not the bower....yet...

If you mean as a stopper knot on the bow limb instead of string grooves, that's a good idea. Kinda lot of work for a temporary nock but it would be great for a permanent one on really slender limb tips.

i dont mean a huge turk , just a small 3x4 . i do realize if you had to make one for every bow tip , it could get monotonous , but i figured instead of taping a wood wedge on , this would be a little prettier.

i thought of using them for nocks , but i dont really know if they would work. i keep wondering how the string doesnt come off on pin nocks..

also wondered about the added weight at the far tips , but i have made them with gutted para , and they were very light...
