I have a longbow form that I can make a 66" bow from.
Normally I make bows in the 64"to 60" range with the same press and have yet to see any ill effects.I made a 58" the other day and it seems to shoot just fine.Does anyone else out there
use their form for such a wide range of lengths?Would I be better off making forms to fit the different lengths?

I use mine for 60-66 inches and seems to be fine.

I have made bows from 62-66 inches out of the same form and they all shoot fine. I guess if you make a shorter bow then in one way it gets more nervous and sensible because it's shorter but on the other hand you have less reflex and therefore the bow becomes more forgiving. It seems that the pros and cons just compensate more or less no matter what length you build.
