Hi guys. My favorite bow, my old Pearson, took a good bit of abuse this summer while bowfishing. the finish is scratched, bubbled, and peeling in several places. how do i refinish without damageing the fiber glass? thanks.

Apex Predator

Sandpaper and your favorite finish.  You can tell when you get down to the fiberglass.  I wouldn't go any rougher than about 150 grit over the glass.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

tru oil works well and is easy as pie to rub on

220 grit paper and any good poly finish or tru-oil will be good.

Try to get a finish that can be easily touched up, and is durable. Also, a good paste wax rubbed on after.
