Hello all, new to the site, been reading it for a couple of weeks now and decided to join. My question is, will different brace heights affect the total pounds pulled at 28?
I had mine set at 8" [only string I had at the time} and it pulled 60#@28, now with it set at 7" it only pulls 47#@28.
Bow length is over all 62"
Thanks

It will make a little difference, but I don't think it will change 13#'s over 1"...  Have you sanded or done anything else to the bow since changing the string/brace?

Wow!  Better inspect that bow well.  No strange sounds when you drew her back?

I don't think changing brace height can change draw weight. Might change performance but the draw weight shouldn't be affected.

Stranger things have been known to happen to me!! When I did the tiller it was done to 45#, then when I put that short string on it it jump to 60#, so I took it off and made a correct length string which brought it down to the 47# range. Nothing has cracked or broke or anything else. So I guess there was something going on with that string. But I'm happy with the 47#s.Thanks for the replies.

Could have been a measuring error at the 60# mark.
