I haven't forged a blade since last June...my total knee replacement and back surgery had a bit to do with that.  I'm now feeling great.  This weekend we had out town guests visiting that wanted to see how I forge a blade...just the push I needed to finally get the forge going again.

Tenbrook was nice enough to send me some bow riser scraps this winter so I'll get it finished up with a nice curly something...tippit

Been missing you around here.  Good looking knife.  What are the specs?  It looks a little bigger than a typical Tippit blade based on the handle/blade ratio.  Anyway, it oughta look good with curly something.

Doug,
Definitely in SC.  I'm not going back to MA until the snow is long gone...probably June maybe July pending the Redfish on the flats in June around Charleston & Beaufort  :)

Just ground and quenched the blade without any warping.  Matt it is a bit bigger than my usual hunting blades...9" OAL, blade 4 1/2" out of 1084 steel. Ready for the tempering but I need to go shoot some trap and heaven forbid play a round of golf.  Seems like I'm becoming less red necked with age...tippit
