The "Illi-sota" Brute de Forge

The result of a move long desired, from Illinois to Minnesota.
This Damascus was made to make the last knife I sold while in Illinois.
It made the trip to my new location in Northern Minnesota.
I wanted my first knife in Minnesota to be a little different.
I "skived" out the steel in the handle where the scales go.
Stabilized curly walnut from northern California.
Bullseye pins to eliminate peening stress on the handle material.
Mirror polished spine.
Hot blued 324 layer 1095 and 15N20.
9 inches overall.

I like the way you fit the scales. That is a great option for the brute de forge knife. It's really nice. I'm glad you're back in the shop Karl.

Me, too, Lin. I've had so many ideas I want to work on that it's keeping me awake at night.
But with all the down time, I've got customers banging on my "digital door".
Gonna be a long winter and I won't see the sun much.
