copperhead neck knife

Blade forged by tradganger Ben Tendick. Hafted to proximal phalanx bone with Vantico structural epoxy, over wrapped with Woodchuck rawhide, rawhide coated with West epoxy.
Rawhide sheath with buckskin lining and wrap. Sewn and laced with doubled copper wire. Triple braided wrist thong with copper adjuster.

thats really cool.... what kinda steel is the blade? and what animal do the bones for the handles come from?

Wow, that came out very nice, I am a sucker for snakeskin and copper though!!

The steel is Uddeholm 15n20 (very tough stuff),
and I believe the bone is a deer foot bone?
Just to clarify, my blades are stock removal,
and heat treated in a forge.

Thanks Ben, yes the bone is a deer toe bone.

Neat little knife and I love the sheath.  How did you attach/secure the copperhead skin?  I assume it's only "decoration" attached to thicker rawhide backing?

That is one of the coolest looking neck knives I've ever seen.  The knife, the sheath, everything is top notch.  Very nice job, you should be very proud, TRW.
