I'm wondering when Bear started cutting their shelves  past center  instead of just to center. Specifically a late 60's/early 70's Kodiak Magnum if that matters.

Thanks,
fz

Bjorn

The new Bear K Mags are cut past center-don't know when that started. Your bow is cut to center if it is late 60's early 70's.
You got a couple of pics of that bow?

Thanks Bjorn. I don't own the bow yet. I own a pristine Kodiak Hunter from that era that I bought from a member here on the classifieds. It is green with a blue/purple stripe. Someone local has a K-Mag from that era for sale that I am thinking of picking up depending on if it matches the sellers description when I go look at it.

Shoot it before you buy it.  Make sure you can handle the finger pinch.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Thats great advice PAPALAPIN..... the good thing is I'm draw length challenged   :wavey:   only 25.5" so I hoping I'm good with the 52" length.

I understand the "draw length challenged" part. I like my short Kodiak mag bows just for that reason. In some of the old catologes the mags are discribed as cut past center while the same year Kodiaks are discribed as cut to center.

wow may be a good time for us to go through the old catalogs and see what they say ?
I would like to add if you like the bow you can make them center shot pretty easy. Here's two of mine that are both center shooters bd
