Actually the SKodiak 72 differs from the 70 and 71,having the standard front bushing and the decal in the belly of the top limb.Like the other 2 twins has rosewood caps and futurwood riser, white tips and overlay. The coin is still flush, for the last time.

Blackhawk, you're right that newer models had the same bushings / raised coins. But, from 73 on the coloration of the S.K.'s changed. The 73 and 74 were all dark w/red stripes. The 75 and 76 had blue stripes. The 72 was the last one with the rosewood caps and dark handle. At least thats what my catalogs show. If you have a dark handle w/rosewood caps and a raised coin, you most likely have a 72 model S.K.

1970 has a flush coin no stabilizer bushing and the upper silk screen is on the back of the limb.
1971 has a flush coin plus a stabilizer bushing and again the upper screen is on the back of the limb.
1972 may have a flush coin or a raised plastic button plus stabilizer bushing however the upper silk screen is now on the belly side bd
