What kind of rest and side plate were stock on the 1959 kodiak special? I assume the feather rest was stock, any particular color? What about the plate? What shape was the side plate?

Jeff, I'm pretty sure the 59 catalog shows the Kodiak Special without a strike plate.  Just a feather rest.  I have a 64" 59 KS that has a groove worn into the wood where a plate has never been used.

The 60 Kodiak Special Deluxe came with a small bullet shaped plate that would look good on the 59 KS.

Trap,
The one 1960 Bear Kodiak DE LUXE on the big auction site  280329416130 with the 6 line strike plate, was that added later or an option that could of been ordered.

Most Deluxe models(hunting weight) I've seen had the 5-6 line rather then the bullet shape. But several Special Deluxe(target weight) had the bullet shaped rest...hummmm.bd

The 1960 catalog shows both the bullet shape and 6 line-same color in the pics.
The '59 has a rest and no plate-which is an omission-IMO-'cause all us guys would never shoot a bow without a wall of some kind. Right?
