Best thing I did for my shooting was to take 4 months off, hardly picked up a bow let alone look at one. I was burning myself out, shooting everyday, intense shooting sessions. In the end I really didn't see much improvement. So I decided to live without archery for a while. Concentrated of my OCR racing and plain old forgot about the bow. Best thing I ever did. Now rigging up for October Whitetails I returned to shooting with focused training and I am hardly scattering any shots. Keeping my sessions short and making sure very arrow is perfect or else letdown and start again. I find this is the hardest part of archery. To commit to only shoot perfect arrows. I heard Rod Jenkins say this and it has rung home with me. It's discipline in the perfect sense. You can't wish for a good shot but expect when you are ready  and all feels right.
