I got my yard work completed last night and had my daughter video tape my shooting form.  I'm going to try and get the clips on in a bit.  The first thing I noticed from the over head angle is I am not getting my draw elbow back "in line" with my shoulders.  I had her tape again- trying to get "in-line"- and I just flat out can't draw my bow that far.  I have athought on it- The bow I was shooting last night is my Bob Lee Hunter, 45# @ 28", 60" long.  I am 6'2", and my arrows are 31".  I really tried to get my back elbow in line- and the bow "stacks" and basically just won't let me pull it any farther to get the elbow back.
I really think I should be shooting a 64" bow, and wondering if anyone else thinks I'm on the right thought path- or am I just all wet?
I'll be working on getting the vids up shortly.
Thanks- Dave

Terry, I wondered the same...with it being 45 @ 28", I had scaled it with my arrows to be about 54#.  This wasn't a problem weight for me when I worked in the archery shop.  I was shooting hundreds of arrows per week out of every type of bow possible.  I was able to shoot 100# compounds with ease, back then.  Also able to shoot 65-70# recurves as well.
In the fall of 06, my draw shoulder started giving me fits so I went to a sports med doctor.  This guy treats all the CMU athletes, and is the best around.  X-rays confirmed partial seperation of the socket, stretched ligs/tendons/ and 2 bone spurs.  Not really wanting or having time for surgery- I did the band excersises for the last year, and haven't had much improvement.  I still get very sore, but it stems from a lot of coaching (2 little leauge teams, summer softball, football, and 2 b-ball teams) so- I am always playing catch and throwing a lot.  This is also why I don't have time to rehab after surgery- I don't want to give up the coaching right now.
My budget doesn't have a new bow in it- so I may try to swap limbs and find a longer set, that would be around 52-54# at my length.  I'll get working on the vids right now.  well- I don't have the right driver to download my vids.  I'll have to get it from home....

Well, I just took a quick trip to Jay's and made a limb switch with my step brother Eric.  He manages the archery dept. and had a used Hunter with 62" limbs, 51# @28".  We checked limb attachment and tiller and it was a great match.
After shooting a few in the range, he said my elbow was in much better position, and I could "overdraw" the bow now(if needed).  Just the tad longer limbs, less finger pinch/twist, and able to get to my draw length with it now.  We scaled it with my arrows and she's about 57-58 pounds at my draw length.
Eric also attempted to "overdraw" the shorter set of limbs and felt the same "stack resistance" I had felt.  I'll try to video tomorrow- have LL practice tonight.....
