Can anyone in NM tell me if it's snowing anywhere?  I've had a mountain lion hunt booked since 2016 and there hasn't been enough snow to really hunt them.  I look at the weather reports for the areas my outfitter says to look and there hasn't been any snow...or any precipitation at all for that matter?  He did say we could hunt dry ground, but since I'm coming from PA we might as well wait for snow so it's a much better chance of success.  I'm patient, but I really want to go hunting. The outfitter I'm going with comes highly recommended from my best friend who's hunted with him several times.  I have no reason to not believe him, but just thought I'd ask the group.  Thanks!!!

Not sure why you didn't hunt the past two years when most of NM had decent to above average moisture, but this year has been extremely dry-La Nina-very little snow even in the high country.  What part of the state are you hunting?

I should clarify that I booked the hunt during the summer of 2016, so wouldn't be hunting until about Dec 2016-Mar 2017.  During that time, my mom was battling two types of cancer and I was her primary caregiver...there were a couple times that it snowed, but my schedule wouldn't allow it.  Still there didn't seem to be a steady supply of snow.  The outfitter has been great and in contact with me all the time.  Just no snow this year!  He's based out of the Estancia/Mountainair area.  He can hunt all over the state though.  I just checked last night for a weather forecast in Chama...the northern most area of the state and they were calling for just a snow shower Tuesday.  It's just hard to believe that the weather could be so tropical over the winter there. lol

Supposed to get snow up in the northern part of the state on Sunday.

I agree.  I lived in SW Colorado for 30 years before moving to northern NM 3.5 years ago.  It's the driest and warmest winter I've seen in all those years.  Sucks for skiing too!
