Just want to give a great big shout out to Theresa Asbell for the awsome wool productsshe makes. I have at least one pair of all of her wool pull overs. Also have a pair of her wool bibs. Her wind blockers are the best I have ever used. If you have not used any of her wool clothing I highly recommend them. Thank you so much Fred and Theresa for all of your products and for a working mans budget. Also made right here in Michigan.    My first stop at Kalamazoo will be The Asbell booth, to spend my Christmas money from the wife. Then off to See Steve at Northern Mist to pic up my new Ramer.

Their products are great, I have the Pathfinder and it's great. Try the wool quilt for inside the house or cabin, it's incredible.

If you layer their vest and outerwear, you can't be cold. Very reasonable prices too...

What are your suggestions and experiences for the weight of wool?  I live and hunt in Arizona, so our cold temperatures are pretty mild compared to midwest and northern states.  Almost every Asbell offering is "Size (Extra Heavy Weight)".  I am concerned that this is an overkill for the southwest temperatures.

Thanks and Good Hunting,

Ross, I live in GA and wear their stuff all the time.   It is perfect for moderate temps and as layers when it is colder.

joebuck

And Stylish too because Matt will not hesitate and wear that wool out on a date!!
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Thanks Tradgreenhorn and Joebuck for your replies.  Matt your GA moderate-weather experience is appreciated.  I will give Theresa a call this week for her recommendation.  I agree about the stylish looks.  It will be nice to have a jacket that l can wear comfortably in both the field and at the mall.

I have really been impressed with the warmth. I dont get into style that much, I leave that to my pretty wife. This was my first year using anything wool, but it won't be my last for sure.

Joey, you might as well let the women know what they are getting in to. . . Usually they leave after I ask them if they know how to skin a hog.

Good grief! If they balk at THAT, how on earth are they going to handle the field-dressing???
