Whos shooting a toelke lynx

Because I'd really like to hear your thoughts.  I've been thinking about one a awful lot lately. Just can't seem to take the plunge . I'd be interested in the longbow limbs. what do you guys that have these or have had one think about them ? Of course a few pictures would be welcome to.

I don't own a Lynx but I have shot a few. Everyone of them I've shot was a sweet bow. No hand shock, super quite, surprisingly fast, and just shoot where you look. One thing I would recommend is putting brass bolts on it if you get a take down. My buddy Tim did that with his old Lynx, just made it a little more steady at full draw.

I just purchased a Pika but was on the fence with the Lynx or the Pika. Came down to the length, I have a thing for short bows

I don't understand this. Why would brass bolts make a difference?

I have 2 Lynxes, a 40# 66" longbow, and a 45# 64" longbow.  Whenever I want to shoot a longbow in a tournament, I shoot the 40# Lynx.  If I ever want to hunt with a longbow, I will hunt with the 45# Lynx.  Both of them are right on target, the same as my recurves.  I guess this could be good or bad, depending on how much of a longbow guy you are, but for me being on target with my recurves is a good thing.  I have considered getting rid of the 45# Lynx, since I don't know if I'll ever hunt with it, but when I actually tried to put it on the market, something told me I was making a big mistake, and I took it off the market.

I have tried the Lynxes against several other comparable 40# and 45# longbows, and the Lynxes are the fastest of the bunch.  Some of the ones I have tested against the Lynx have cost a lot more than the Lynx.

I have two, 45# recurve and 50# longbow. Very good chance I'll never have anything else except maybe a different Toelke but I'll still have the Lynx's! Living by rmsgear I get to shoot a lot of different bows and I've owned a good amount of different bows and Dan's locator grip is best by far for me!

I had both recurve Lynx and LB.
I now stay with the recurve, faster and more compact for hunting

I borrowed a 66" lynx lb for several months.  It was about 53# @ 31", and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I would love to have one of my own.

My lynx is my go to bow. I have 2 lynx risers and 6 sets of limbs. For indoor league I shoot 38 lb longbow limbs. For hunting I shoot 56 in 50 lb recurve limbs. I have also hunted with my 54 lb longbow limbs. The nice thing about the lynx is generally they all shoot the same. The sight picture is great and it seems the arrow trajectory is pretty close between all my limbs.The bows are super quiet and shoot great. My recurve limbs seem a little faster but the speed doesnt really matter to me. All my limbs from 38 to 57 range from 162-183 on the chrono with 9 gpp for leagues and 10-11 gpp for hunting

The Lynx whether longbow or recurve setup is exceptional.  Quiet, quick, forgiving, and even sweeter if you ask him to shape the grip like the standard one on the Chinook.

I'm a huge fan of Dan's work, owned all his models, multiple specimens of most of them.  Can't go wrong.  As a counterpoint, if you're looking for all of the same positives, with a little extra oomph, consider Hill Country bows.  The Bobcat and Wildcat setups are the bees knees, just like the Lynx.

Jon is talking about Dave Windauer's small bronze antler knobs.  I put them on my takedown to bump up the overall mass weight of the bow.  Dave also sells larger bronze knobs that several folks use on their recurves.

I greatly prefer his 60" recurve limbs to the others, including his longbow limbs.  Not the fastest bow on the market, but does everything very well.

I had a 58 inch Lynx recurve that I ended up selling. Why? Just being stupid. They are quiet as most Toelke bows and shoot well.

I have a 58" with recurve limbs that I bought to rehab my shoulder. Its only 38 pounds at my draw but is faster than bows I have at 44#. I absolutely love the  bow and believe its the best recurve I have ever owned. As with all dans bows it is deathly quite.

Yea he sells a combo, think it's 200ish or so for second set of limbs if ordered together, and  300ish if second set is ordered later

Yes the riser will take either longbow or recurve limbs. The limbs are fit to the riser when they are made. Every time I order more limbs for mine I have to send Dan the riser.
