Looking for feedback from anyone who has used a acusharp sharpener to sharpen broadheads. What are the pros and cons? Thanks

mahantango

Works great on Bear Razor heads and Zwickey Eskimos. Follow up with a butchers steel.
We are all here because we are not all there.

I use one on my Zwickey's after I get the edge set with a file. Works good.

skeaterbait

I use one on Magnus Stingers, works great.
Skeater who?

Gooserbat

The way to go for Razorheads,& Stingers.
"Four fletch white feathers and 600 grains is a beautiful thing."

slowbowjoe

Works well for me on Ace's, Zwickeys, and Magnus. I do use something finer to finish.

smokin joe

A great way to get a standard two-blade razor sharp. A little light strop work afterward and you are good to go.

They work great for me on zwickeys and bear razorheads. Like the others I get my edge with a file the go gradually lighter with the accusharp then strop to finish. And its was to throw in a pack and use in the field!

no

I use on stingers & then a diamond steel

I used to use one a lot, until I "discovered" the Rada wheelie sharpener. It seems I can control the pressure better with the Rada and put the BH at a better angle for a better finished edge.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Hackbow

Used the Accusharp with great results for many years on 2 blades. Tried the RADA 5 or 6 years ago and never looked back. Either will do an excellent job but like DarrinG posted, I believe the RADA gives me a bit more control. I finish with stropping on my jeans and then on cardboard.
