Well I have been shooting alum and carbons from my Berrys but we have a big shoot in September that goes by IBO rules and if I want to shoot Traditional longbow class I need woodies, so I ordered some sure woods from Surewood Steve ( GREAT guy, and his shafts are amazing). I have them all sealed up and I'll be fletching them this weekend
. Let's hope my second attempt at woods works out better than my last.

I am still waiting for my Expedition to get finished.  Time stands still when waiting!  To keep my mind occupied I had a two nice hen turkeys within 7 yards of me this morning, too bad they weren't legal!

Bud B. showed us all his nice quiver he made just a few pages back. I thought it was great the way he made it with the sewn top and the stitched seam going up the side toward the back of the quiver. When I posted my comments on the quiver, I hinted kiddingly, that I would like one just like it. The next thing I know, Bud PM's me to tell me he is going to make me one to my specifications. I asked him to give me a price, but he said there would be no paying him. Unbelievable! what a guy. Well all I can say Bud, is I'll remember this, and will get even somehow. What a generous, thoughtful, great and talented guy. Thanks Bud, I feel honored to call you my friend, and I really love my new quiver. It's the perfect size and shape, and I love the strap arrangement. So without further ado, here it is.

Those are fantastic pictures. The generosity of the members here and elsewhere in the Trad community never cease to amaze me. Such a wonderful gesture and beautiful quiver,  That quiver will have years of great use and the stories that can be built upon the original one is something that can and should be told to friends and family for years to come.

AWSOME

I forgot that Bud did hint something about making a donation to ST Jude's, so that I will gladly do.

Glad you like it Dave.

For your hard work down in Georgia on the Hill Hog Hunt I thought you deserved something for all your efforts, scouting, walking, sharing hunting tips, etc... even if the hogs were scattered by the flooding. I thought that if anyone were to get a hog it would've been you. They just failed to cooperate. You needed something for your dedication, so a sister quiver to mine made from the same hide, hunting the big woods of NY was thought of... It was the least I could do.

I hope she serves you well.

Nope.  Still hoping to get a call from Nate.
