Waiting for the dye to dry on the lacing but here's what I'm gonna go with for the handle wrap. Capybara with goat lace. I cut the lace to 3/16" wide then thinned and beveled before dying with mahagony dye. I'm not sure on the arrow pass material yet.

I agree with Kirk, spine is most important.  All my shafts get shot bareshaft, that way I am dealing with dynamic spine. Most go right down the middle as I have aligned the shaft with stiff side out. The ones that don't can sometimes be adjusted by nock rotation, If not they are tomatoe stakes.

A lot of guys struggle with bare shaft tunning, and lets face it. It takes time to bare shaft all your arrows consistently.... What i found was that setting up the spine tester with  dozen new shafts, and matching the spine up as close as possible with the stiff side towards the shelf, that i can bare shaft tune a couple shafts for correct length and tip weight, and the rest fly exactly the same without bare shafting.

After reading that article i was surprised that he said he'd rather be on the stiff side on spine, than the weak side. I have always bare shafted to the weak side, and after fletching they are perfect.
Great article.... btw...

Loved Helmsman til I sprayed a bocote riser with it.  Too much oil and dries too slow I guess. Turned to gummy mess and I scraped it all off...

I had an epidural that lasted maybe 4 days.
I have to call in the morning to reschedule.

Mike, ya home yet or ya gotta stay a day or two?

Kirk, I had the epidural steroid injection between L4 and L5 last August 20th and it really helped me out. Now I gotta get one in the right hip May 1st. There are times when it hits me that I need crutches to walk for 4 or 5 days.

I've had mixed success with the steroid injections over the last 2 years. Different doctors and slightly different locations made a difference too. But...Nothing lasted over about 3-4 months. i haven't got to the point of having to use crutches yet, but staying on my feet for long periods at a time is painful, and hiking any distance at all without constantly stopping isn't happening any more.

So i just pace myself, and sit more often..... What else can ya do?    This getting old kinda sucks.

I ended up diving on in a rabbit hole looking for it. I did come across this article by Rick McKinney who was an Olympic shooter in 1984. Worth the read if you were wondering.
