Finally got to try out some yew! This is a bamboo backed spliced yew board with a thin strip of redheart in between the two. It has yew and redheart accents in the handle and redheart and horn at the tips. 63" ntn, 50# at 28". The bamboo is covered with rattlesnake skins. Yew certainly is a nice bow wood, but I don't really care too much for it. Due to it's soft nature it dings really easily and I don't like a bow I feel I have to baby. Seems that nothing can beat osage in my book. Excellent shooter though.

Very nice lines!
Looks pefrect braced.
Dan,
You make beautiful bows--I really like the lines yours exhibit when braced. I bet that bow is smooth as silk!!!

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
Did I tell yew that I just started a nursery/kindergarten for bows that need to be babied. I'll PM you the address if you're intrested. :D
I was just dreaming up a profile like that on my drive home today. I'm wrestling with a pronounced R/D all wood and the more I look at it the more I think the extreme R/D's should be left to fiberglass. I do love some curves in a bow and it seems you found a beautiful balance.
How does it shoot?
That is beautiful. Great Job
How much you asking for that baby?
I like it alot! beautiful lines and those tips!!!
Excellent :clapper:
good job
You sure that's not a Dryad Blank??...hehehehhe.

If yew are scared of dinging it up, just send it my way and i promise i'll baby it for yew. I got a nice soft buckskin sock that would fit it nicely. Beautiful work , very nice looking bow!
WOW!!! Is that beauty for sale?
Exellent work!!
SICK!<><
Nice work and a very good color combo. Yew is my
baby. Bue--.
Nice work Dan, looks like you have found your niche! How does she shoot? Did you get the Bow-Jam flier? How bout a full-draw pic.
That thing is Bambyewtiful!!!!
Nice one Danny. You are turning out some real beauties this winter. Keep it up.
Thanks guys!
The bow shoots great. Pretty fast, about 10-15 above the 100 plus rule. Spose they could be a bit faster...
I will get a full draw shot of her when I can get someone to take it.
Brad: ya I got the flyer, and of coarse I'll be there...with a pile of bamboo backed hunnies with me this time...and a self bow or two of coarse...

Very nice, Dan. Speaks volumes about your skill as a bowyer and your artistic eye.
