Back up for some great memories :goldtooth: On the event page :) .......Rockwood Stump shoot in central New York......more details to follow. Should be mid to late April and is a good time. This will be the 5th one, although that doesn't seem possible...lol! :wavey:
looking forward to it ron.
I'm looking forward to it as well! 85 yard shot ------> :archer2:
Ron and Drew, will be good to see you guys.....I have something your going to want to shoot!!!
I'll be there!
It'll be my fourth Rockwood shoot :campfire:
F-Manny
As long as there ain't three feet of snow and carnivorous milli-flori rose bushes I'm in.
Assuming my hips grow back by then. Shawn Leonard wupped me bad with his bunny habitat these last two days.
Wow Ron, a 95 yard shot. :p
Wouldn't miss it Ron, count me in. Ron P., wasn't that like a 105 yrd. shot? I'm pretty sure it was!!! :archer2:
I look forward to this shoot!
Ron, thanks for the heads up. Maybe I will be able make it this year!
look forward to seeing everyone again!
Sounds like good interest so far.....bring the wife or girl friend or if the kids like to shoot, that's good also. Targets for all.....some easy and some more challenging. :wavey: :campfire:
Having a thaw......won't be long and the stumps will show their smiling faces.......
I'm not familiar with that. Where is it held? I may be able to make it, if it's after Apr. 15..
I gotta start being more sociable!!! I'll have to see what I have going on that weekend
A date has not yet been set. But it should be mid to late April. Location is about 9 miles west of Johnstown N.Y. on RT.29 Rockwood State Forest.
Ya know, that's not to far for me. Is it on a Saturday or a Sunday? can't make Sundays, got commitments at church.
Not sure yet Larry, waiting a bit for the weather outlook........would be great if you could make it. Maybe we should try for a Saturday.
TTT
Lets hope for some spring like weather in the next few weeks........
If we can't have it in April, there's always May! It may very well be a late spring this year! Look on the bright side........it should make the Rainbow trout and Stretch Neck hunting good! Looking forward to the shoot Ron!
Do you think folks would come if Turkey season was open....? May also need to wear your tag while having a bow in hand with the season open.
Yea, I guess that was a pretty dumb statement wasn't it! :knothead: :D
Dave, not at all, another consideration is if the weather really breaks.....May brings on the black flies.
Well Ron, If you guys don't mind a little further trip, your more than welcome to have the shoot down here in Steuben county! Just an offer in case you keep too much snow. I'm good to go either way......snowshoes!! :archer:
Every year we think there is no way all the snow will be gone by late march early April, then when the time comes, we are always fine.
I think early April will be good. I hope the shoot does not interfere with Whittingham as I would like to attend both. I have not decided on which one more, and would rather not have to.
I look forward to shaking off the cabin fever with you guys.
Going to try for April 19th......keep an eye on the event page for more info......
Get all that snow melted Ron!
19th sounds good Ron.Should have some good warming days before then.......say goodby snow!
Forecast is for warmer temps all week..... :clapper:
Mark your calendar....getting closer.....and warmer.......
We are losing snow pretty quickly over here. Finally. Hopefully the snow is melting in Rockwood. :campfire:
Gotta figures out how to include a hotdog here ------> :campfire:
Hey ronp........how about a few of them German white hot dogs you came with last time........ :saywhat:
i'm out , can't make the 19th , have fun guys :wavey:
Sorry you can't make it Drew....... :dunno:
Manny will shoot a couple for me
We'll miss you Drew.
Ron, I can probably rustle up a few of those white hots!
Won't be long now...........check events page for updates. 4/19/14
Go to the event page and there is a roll call post. Thanks
TTT.......snow going fast! :campfire: :coffee: :archer2:
:campfire: after today and tomorrow, I will be surprised to see anything left there in the way of snow.
Getting closer.....TTT :campfire: :coffee:
This weekend.....looks to be good weather.....don't miss a good time!
This weekend.....looks to be good weather.....don't miss a good time!

Looks like the weather will be decent! Hope to see you there!
Make sure to take some pics!!! Have fun everyone!
9 am-noon, gonna be a good day...... See ya in the morning!
Thanks P. just threw in the Camera.
We will be about 30-60 minutes late.
Will you guys be taking aright on the first turn off toward the campground?
Yes......
We will catch up. My guess is, you will still be looking for arrows behind the first stump at that time :smileystooges:
Cant wait to see everyone, Bowspirit will be there as well.
I have something I have wanted to give to Martin. do you know if he will be there?
Well stumpfest is in the books......We had a small turn out on a fantastic day. 13 folks came out to shoot from as far away as Canada and Cape Cod. We asked for donations for the hot dogs, drinks, cookies and some Venison shish-Kabobs and in the process took in $140. That will be sent in when the auction is in full swing. I want to thank all who came and all who brought stuff to share....... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

About half of the gang were there and ready to go at 9:00.
Arrows were shot, and stumps were killed

The group got back to the parking area, and enjoyed some dogs, drinks, etc. cooked up by Ron w, and his wife Denise.
Venison speedies were served up courtesy of Knawbone. Good friends, and good eats.
