Would appreciate peoples input on these STRIKER bows? They sure are a good looking bow .Any input would be greatly appreciated?
thank you
DEAN
I shot several at ATAR this year and was very impressed with the fit and finish and the way they cast an arrow. He had several slightly different long bow grips to choose from.
rick makes a nice bow, own one striker stinger, and have one on order. they shoot very nice and are lookers. you wont be disapointed if you buy one.
I've got a Stiker SlapStik longbow and love it. While shooting and comparing a lot of different bows one year at Denton Hill, the Stiker bows impressed me the most with how smooth and fast they shoot. No hand shock at all. Rick Ellis makes them and is great to do business with.
Guess I should run my spell checker more often. I meant to say Striker bows (not Stiker).
Quality, service, craftsmanship are all top notch. I had the pleasure of spending some time with Rick and Dusty at ETAR and shooting Hope.
Very smooth and quiet!!
Nice fit and finnish and an even nicer guy to do buisnes with. Contemplating a 3-piece take down now.

DEAN- I had the pleasure of spending time with HOPE as many other Trad Gangers have. I must tell you how impressed I was with the feel of her. Rick's takedown is a fine piece of art. Him and his son Dusty are salt of the earth folks that seem genuinely concerned about what you want and how they can help you get it.
The Strikers I have shot with action boo limb cores are surprisingly fast with a flat cast and an unbelieveably hard hit at the target. Rick builds some "thumpers" with amazingly light weight and little, if any, hand shock. I encourage you to spend some time talking with Rick, and get your hands on one of them. I agree with others statements in this post. You will not be dissapointed, in the product or the people behind it.
I'm not contemplating a take-down, just saving up for one.
Dean,
I have a Striker 58in one piece R/D slapstick 48# @ 28in. I have to say that the bows are fast and good looking, but mine has a good bit of handshock. I think, just my opinion, the three piece would be heavier and have less handshock??? I agree Rick is a nice guy, but my bow took 4 months longer than I was originally told at the time of purchase.
I want to be very careful here because Rick is a sponsor and has donated Hope & Faith for this year. That is very generous and shows excellent character on his part. I think if you have shot and like the bows then get one and enjoy it!!
Just my 2 cents,
Charlie(buckeye_hunter)
I have a stinger. It is 49@28. I love it. Fits like a glove. I was suprised how quick it was. And no hand shock..It is a light bow too.
