I was talking with Daniel about a week ago about knives and what not. when he asked if i ever shot a Black Swan. I told him no and he asked if I wanted to swap bows a awhile. I said sure and sent him a RER TD recurve and he sent the swan. Boys this bow flat out SMOKES! Now I like pretty bows with wood handles. BUT I could really get into shooting and owning a swan but it have to be a longbow. Vman you are right Arvid makes a fast bow. This group was the first 3 arrows I shot from the bow at 15 yards.the bow is 43#26" and I draw 29". I will scale her today and chrono her also. I can say this my 5575 GTs trads look like they are rockets out of this bow. If this was a longbow with a wood handle it would be awesome. Sweet, I am gonna get my chance this tuesday. I cannot wait! Shawn
Shawn you are going to like shooting it.I plan on shooting it today off and on while I work in the shop.Take care of the wing buddy... don't over do it.<><
Great Looking and Performance Too!! I think Your Poor Old Bear Could Use A "Great Stuff" Patch Job. :archer:
Good Job SticShooter!! :goldtooth:
Nice bow and group there Frank, looks like a winner.
Serge what is amazing is how fast it is and how well it handles. Very forgiving for being so fast. I plan on shooting at 35 yards maybe 40 just to see how I shoot it at that distance, I noramlly shoot 20 yards. I set up for a very close shot 15 yards and under when I hunt whitetails here. <><
Frank he does make it in a wood handle now also or you could always get a 1pc.
Good shootin there Frank. I expect those Swans shoot awsome.
Dave I looked at the website. Arvid don't make a shorter Hybrid? CS they are shooters and fast. Speed don't kill but it don't hurt LOL<><
He makes a 58" 1pc Frank.
Hybrid?<><
Yes
Well went out and did a 37yrd 4 arrow shoot. I know it's not the best group but I don't shoot that far ever. But 25 and in I am very happy with the way I shoot her. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v83/fishrofmen1/DSCN2835.jpg)
I'd say for a first day and mismatched arrows, that ain't bad.
Good shooting Frank, that poor bear has seen better days :bigsmyl:
You can save on target cost,go back 50 yards and those will last for ever :biglaugh:
Congrats Bro
Serge
Great Shooting Frank. My bear target is about in that condition also. Maybe worse... LOL
Serge it would last a really long time. Thanks Ron I have two bear targets LOL<><
nice one frank. when ya finished playing with the bow send it to me as its just my draw length and good poundage to. LOL!!! :biglaugh:
Jeff ya better talk with Daniel LOL<><
Nice, Frank. Hopefully you'll still have it next time I see you. I've been wanting to try a Swan for awhile.
Chris
Chris ya going to the state shoot this month in merrill?<><
Not sure if I'll make it. Depends on my wife's work schedule and if I'll have the kids. I'll try.
Chris
I had and recently sold a one piece hybrid on here. It is a fantastic bow. I would have kept it but I had to move down in weight. A word of caution though. I considered a 58" because I like shorter bows. Arvid said I would be happier with the 62". I draw 28" on the dot.
Everyone that shot it loved it (or at least it's speed and lack of shock). Three things I would have liked better 1- shorter overall length, 2- a little thinner grip with more locator, 3- I wish I had dropped the weight a little. All those things are personal preference and as far as the weight goes I got what I asked for. I just didn't know that arthritis would creep up so fast! Arvid was great to deal with and his bows are a functional beauty.
Jedi thanks for the info. Arvid knows his beans when it comes to making carbon limb bows. This bow really does smoke them arras. Vman told me awhile back about these bows and he spoke truth. and thanks to Daniel I got the chance to shoot them.<><<><
