heres my first seasons set up
-45# mikuta td recurve
- 45-50 sitka spruce shafts
- 125gr zwickey eskimo 2 blade
this is what I will use for deer and hogs this fall, but will I need to change it for warthog and an impala next summer?
Hmmmmm.....
You can't go wrong with the Mikuta,I've been shooting Ed's bows for years
Sitka Spruce shafts are tough as nails!!!!!
125gr. Zwickey Eskimos are "tried and true",probly downed more game than any other broadhead
Overall.....I'd give your set-up
BTW.....What are you carrying them arrows in????? ;)
probably tht cat quiver, its so quiet
Ian, you might think about going up a bit in arrow weight as sitka spruce is a pretty light arrow material. Better penetration and it will make your bow quieter. Matt
is it too light for deer?
NO!!!!!
You've chosen a good broadhead. Don't know how heavy your arrows are, but I wouldn't go below 10gpp.
No its not too light..
I'm shooting a Mikuta 48@27
55-60 spruce arrows..
Probably use grizzly 160 gr heads..
Mikuta is the best shooting bow I've had!
