Title: Del-Ma broadheads
Post by: Caranthir on July 28, 2007, 09:31:00 PM
Have any of you in the gang used the Del-Ma broadheds? I've been reading posts for a long time and have never seen these broadheads discussed. I have ordered some of the 2 blades for this season as they seem to be a pretty well designed head as far as their pictures are concerned. Any thoughts or input will be greatly appreciated. Rich

I used one of these 2 bladed broadheads along with a #50 Bear Super Mag about 5 years ago to take a doe, worked very well.

Jeff, how hard is the steel and how durable are they in your opinion? Were they easily sharpened? Did you get a pass thru or hit any bone with it? Thanks, Rich

when I was a lot younger, I shot a chicken doing a thing with my moms garden with a MA-3s with a 30# ben pearson recurve.First shot hit a big stone,2nd shot nailed it and died within 5 second.damaged the tip with the first one but still usable after some filing.no big game experience with it though.easily sharpened also.

This was the only time I used it hunting,I did get a complete pass thru the lungs,no bone.I filed down the original double edge and the file a single edge which I believe is easier to maintain,I thought they were pretty durable if it for that I shoot much heavier bows now and had to increase weight I might stil be using them. They have a near 3 to 1 ratio, fly nice, not to mention reasonably priced.

Thanks for the responses. I like the 125 gr heads and noticed also that they were nearly 3:1 ratio. Will report back of any successes with them as the season progresses. Good luck this season. Rich
