I have been looking for a Bill Stewart Multicam T/D recurve for some time now, actually since I sold the 56", 53#@28" M.C. recurve I once owned. I've had zero luck until I was recently informed that Roy Coursey of Cook's Mountain Archery may be building the bows.
I sent Mr. Coursey an email and was pleasantly surprised to find that he had been taught how to build bows by Mr. Stewart and that he decided recently to start building the M.C. recurves since Mr. Stewart passed away a couple years ago and Mr. Stewart's son closed the business. I ordered a Cook's Mountain Archery M.C. T/D recurve today. It will be 60", 48#@28" (target weight +/- 2#, and will have an Indian Rosewood riser and Zebrawood limbs.
And the best news of all is I'll have it around the end of August or first of September. I will be able to get it ready for deerhunting season in IL and later in the deer season in SC when it cools down some!

Do you have contact information for Bill Stewart?
Thanks
Steve
Very cool
Your buying a bow with multiple cameras attached?????
I just saw a neat one on that auction site. It had a riser with a thumb hole in it. Made in the early 70s. He was an avant guarde bowyer, that's for sure.
Dang Bill youur really in bow buying frenzy as of late.Congrats on the multi cam curve.<><
Steve,
Mr. Stewart died 2 years ago, or so. I can provide contact info for Roy Coursey if you would like.
BB,
I saw the bow on ****. It was unique, however 55#@28" is way too much for my shoulders, elbows and string fingers to handle.
Frank, Yep, but I'm selling/trading just about as fast as I'm buying! ;) :biglaugh: Well, at least I'm trying to sell the Robertson and trade a longbow I've got.
Bill
For those who might want Mr. Coursey's new contact info, he moved from WA to ID, so you can talk to him about either his Cook's Mountain Archery lineup or about the Multi Cam bow he's now offering, he can be reached as follows:

Thanks for the info.
What about that Crow bow HHMMMMMMM<><
I retired my original Stewart Multi Cam bow after taking an Antelop back in '91. Mine is 60# at 27", Maple Riser which I had a fried dye dark brown and Yew limbs under clear glass. Still has the plastic pockets. Great bow, 56", Smooth and fast. Here's a pic....

Yes, that is a nice one that Joe has. If it was 45#@27" I'd try to swap him out of it!
Woodduck,
Thanks! I'm looking forward to receiving it. Mr. Coursey is offering more options for limbs and risers than Mr. Stewart did. I hope it perform as well as the 56", 53#@28" Stewart M.C. T/D recurve I had did. I'm sure it will!
Bill
Gee Joe; I was right , I can remember when you had Black Hair!!

Sergio,
He looks kinda young there, too. Err, please don't look at my picture of me holding my granddaughter! The hair that I have that hasn't turned loose has turned gray!!
Bill
That black hair is now black and gray...mostly gray.
Bill...notice the light colored maple riser...about 9 yrs ago I had a good friend stain it dark brown. It really compliments those pretty Yew Limbs. By the way, I shot that "goat" at 25 yds using Cedar arrows and single blade Zwickey Eskimos from a homemade windmill stand.
The arrow was through the animal before he even left the watering hole. I put a T1 FF string on the Stewart and talk about quiet! I plan on taking it with me on any bowhunts for a backup bow. Good luck with your new bow....
Joe,
Yes, a TS-1+ string will be going on mine. I've found it to be much quieter than any other string material and it as good as most in the speed department. I'll take the feel and the silent release over a bit extra speed, period!
Bill
Very cool! I've always had a soft spot for those multi-cam limbs. Thanks for the info Bill, sure am glad you're back buying bows too.
Makes me feel like my "problem" isn't so bad...lol...
Peter,
Actually, I'm trying to cut back. But, there's a couple of bows I let get away from me that I want to get another of back in the fold. That's why I'm back to wheeling and dealing, again! :biglaugh:
Bill
Bill you know you don't have to 'splain to me! I picked up a new to me LB two weeks ago...I've got a custom coming any day...just bought another riser...and have two or three on the MUST have list...lol...
And now you're tempting me with the multi-cam...
You know what would be really cool is a multi-cam r/d flatbow limb.
That one heck of nice shooting recurve! :)

Actually, Mr. Stewart did sell a T/D longbow with the MultiCam limb. In fact, there's one listed now on ****, the auction site, that has a keyhole riser. It is really unique. If it was a bit less in draw weight, it would be mine! Below is the link to the auction for the bow if anyone is interested.
No links to that site please.....
You'll have to copy and paste the URL above into your browser address window and type "e Bay", without the space, in place of the asterisks and you'll get to it.
Bill
Joe, who's that young fella in that pic :D
Geez Joe, you were some kinda good looking fella aways back...hardly recognized ya' :readit:
Anyone know what an older Stewart multicam in very good condition would be worth?
I think its 70# at 28"
Thanks
John
Well, #70 is going to go for a little less than #55...but if it's in very good condition my guess would be in the neighborhood of $350.
Good news to hear that someone is picking up Bill Stewart's bows. Especially a guy like Roy Coursey who originally learned from Bill. Roy builds some nice bows.
I'll have to ask about having him make me a spare set of limbs for my bow I bought from Bill in 1999. It's a 64 inch, grey riser with 55lb. yew limbs, and like all of his creations it's fast and smooth.
Good luck with your new MCTD, they are wonderful bows and very much under appreciated.
Scott...really looking forward. I got broadheads on my 2117's Dougherty Naturals, the Mikuta longbow has been spitting arrows this past month, my Groves is primed. September 15th for both Jersey and CT is right around the corner.
Larry...that good looking fellow had a rough night sleep in the desert that night. Heavy rain, prairie rattlers slithering around, mule deer running by the truck. It was well worth with it with this 72 P&Y Goat....Notice my breakfast was a good size chew of Levi Garrett...
I put a MO in the mail yesterday to Mr. Coursey for the balance owed on the MCTD he is building for me. I should see it in about a month, Lord willing! :biglaugh:
Bill
I received an email from Mr. Coursey last night. The MultiCam will arrive tomorrow and I'll be shooting it Saturday! Below are some pics of the bow.

That is really nice Bill. I have a older one and it's very smooth. Mine is 56", and 59#@28".
buckracks7,
Thanks! I had an older Stewart MultiCam several years back. It was 56" and 53#@28". It was smooth, but it was too heavy for my joints and it had too much finger pinch for me with the 56" length.
