Hey Gang, Just thought it would be interesting to see what get's us to our favorite Hunting spots. They may be your Leather Covered Personel Carriers ,a ATV, a Car, a Truck, a Daily Driver or a Special Vehicle....Show us what gets you there.
This one is mine, a Daily Driver/Hunt'n Rig. She's a 01 Toyota Tacoma 4X. 95K miles and still running strong. There's been a few Mods over the years but it's still a work in progress. Tu Compadres, Suty

Elksong, Thats the rig I have always wanted. You are lucky, ya gotta love the originals. A very nice Rig...... Tu Compadre, Suty
Suty,
Looks like your truck is set-up for just about anything you might run into. The camo accent looks good too.
It's hard to beat them Yoters :)
Nice Bronco Elksong. I love the old ones.

Well, We have had quite a few excellent Rigs. I must say though, the Corvette definately adds a little class...Keep'm Coming. Cazador de Tejas, Suty
LOL the corvete is great.
95 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton, old surveyors vehicle goes where you want and I don't have to wory about scratches ( it came with them allready installed ) daughter has camera at the lake so no pictures right now. Nice rigs everyone. bretto
I see some good looking tucks. But what is you MPG? I can't post pics but my van Gets 29 hwy and 26 city. Its a 93 Ford Aerostar van that i can sleep in and camp in. Its just for Hunting and fishing. We as a peole need to change our ways when it comes to GAS...............JMO
Gas isn't much of a concern when you only drive 15-20 miles. I'd like to see that van on a couple of the roads around here. It would probably be it's last trip to anywhere!
Your attidude is what makes gas 3.00 plus a gal. It takes everyone to make a Change.............................................................................................................................................................................. ..........................................
My hunting truck is also my work truck. '04 Dodge quad cab,4wd, 3/4 ton with a "HEMI". Deadeye, I'll start running around on a moped if you can find someone to feed my family :bigsmyl: Heck, I'm tired of working anyhow.
I guess the Corvette really works since it is the only one I saw with a deer in it. :bigsmyl:
Mine is an '03 Silverado, 4 wheel drive. It can pull Ford Aerostars out of snow drifts...sideways... and still get 20 MPG.
What's a peole?
Mine is at very close range :bigsmyl:
Ok, still use my trusty 92 GMC,nothing like a 350 :D
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/udboss2/DSC00605.jpg)
Plate is rounded, the result of a deer vehicle collision :banghead:

Heres mine. My license plates are "bohuntr" just like my handle.
Elksong, You touched my heart. Bought a '74 Bronco in 1976. I'd still be driving it if I hadn't wadded it up in 1988. Gave 4500 for it and insurance paid me that when I wrecked it. It's the only car I ever drove for free and I loved that truck. Had a posi-traction front end. If you got stuck... you were stuck good. Only time it ever happened was when I high centered it. That is a going son of a gun. Thanks for the memories! Bill

My bride's rig a 2500 HD Chevy crew cab with a allison transmission, turkey feathers and a bobble head buck on the dash board...with a Widow on the back seat and a glock in the console. Full four door and four wheel drive. ;)
Like Southernarcher & 4runr, mine is a Toyota too. Having come down from a full size PU, one has to be more conscious of space. Not exactly an RV but it does keep me warm & dry. Just be careful not to wake up suddenly to get a forehead tattoo :scared:
Even my tracking dog is down sized...Tilly the wire haired Daschund :D Doc

Not as nice as most but does what I want it to.
All ready to go. 92 Nissan Pathfinder, 91 Polaris 6X6, Deer Hauler, boots or moc's depending and my favorite 2 bows. I keep the new F-150 and Jeep Grand Cherokee for good or backups if needed. This is my go wherever I need to go rigs.

Thats the way to do it.
This one is my primary driver (keeps the miles off the good car) I use it mostly when hunting but it is 2wd. Its got 230K and still going. I'll drive it untill I can't fix it.
Plus its Easier to load this than the CJ5.
Well, I haven't had a "huntin' truck" in a long time. All I had was the "familymobile".
I sold that thing and found myself a 1990 Suburban 2500 with a 454 and NO rust for $2800.00 inspected! I was on my way to pick it up on July 2nd when they called me and said they had done this:
Needless to say....I did not get that one.
So I ended up with this '92 Blazer which I am very happy with.

but it gets the farts to the tune of 3 gallons per minute...

That is one sweeeeeeet Scout!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a '77 scout II just like that, kick myself now for selling, would like to get another soon..
Jake
Deadeye - so if I am gettin 12 miles to a gallon, and I drive 20 miles stay for 5 days, drive back home and use 4-5 gallons of gas(in a week).....I am the reason gas prices are so high? You need to stop sniffin' gas fumes. The reason gas prices are so high is politics and greed. I also drink milk, so I have probably screwed that up too, I'll try and stick to more water from now on...... we are in a drought though in Colorado, maybe since I drink about a gallon of water a day, I may have caused that too. This is HORRIBLE! I am at fault for the total collapse of the world! Sorry...... :knothead:
I Knew it, I Knew it...I don't drink alot of Water, and we are Flooding here in Tejas....No Damn wonder I was told I need to drink 3-4 Glasses a day.Elksong, just quit drinking water and you will end the drought, this will put you back in the good graces of you fellow Colorado'ns. Drinking mucho Agua, Tu Comps, Suty
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/Osagetree/aug.20oldmanscave3.jpg)
Jim,
Thanks, Thats an epoxy coating we put over the concrete. Makes cleanup of anything much easier. We've rebuilt motors etc with all the mess that goes with that and it wipes/mops right up. Stays looking great.
John,
Got room at your camp for me. You live in my dream spot. But I've probably told you that already. LOL Next time I get up there I'm going to try to plan it better so I can visit the AK gang.
heres my hunting rig (http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u85/wolfman_031/CIMG1417.jpg)
Yeah Lost, if that scout ever mistreats you you can bring it to Kansas for punishment LOL. bretto
Kenny what year is your 'yota and how many miles on her?
1990,but only 215,xxx showing. That said, some of em were HAAARRD miles!! :scared: :bigsmyl:
Can't affort to drive a pick-up right now due to a long commute, so I bought this old GMC bed/trailer for a couple hundred bucks
(http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i89/zachjweber/Cnv0136.jpg)
I threw on a coat of white house paint and a couple black racing stripes.
I put several coats of Thompson's water sealant on some plywood, cut to size, and put a new bed on 'er. Now I will be pulling the coolest trailer into camp with the wife's SUV. And I won't get a drop of blood in the Trailblazer, but can't promise it won't smell like elk urine!
2004 Ford Ranger step side 4x4. When I decided to buy a new truck, I made a list of everything I wanted, This tuck only failed to meet one of those items. I wanted a rubber floor, this sports carpet.
4 litre V-6, 5 speed automatic, those nice little suicide doors on the crew cab for easy access, cruise, tilt air, and a six disc c.d/mp3 player that ensures I can drive from here to quebec and listen to Johnny Cash the whole way.
I almost left the dealer 3 times, as I didn't want to pay so much for a truck. Sure glad the wife taalked me into it, really had to twist my rubber arm!
99 Dakota I bought new and will run until dies.
I love that unimog. What type of milage does it get? I just picked up a 1993 Isuzu 4 wheel drive pick up(great milage).... No camera
Here's mine in "Tree Hugger" Camo. I figure when I have this thing parked at public land no one will pour syrup into my gas tank. :)
It gets great gas mileage (over $5 a gallon up here) goes places in two wheel I'd have to lock the hubs up on my pick-up.
Its going to get a olive drab paint job and a bit of a lift next year
bought new in 1985 Toyota 4 runner 4x4( "ole WHITE"), only 385,000 miles........this truck has hauled out lots of deer, turkeys and pigs and other varmits (and fish)over the years.......
cool....
how about nice mods you have made to your rig to make it a better hunting rig.....
W.Tim,
385K ... your my hero...looks great too. I'd love to get that kind of milage out of my vehicles. Problem is around here salt eats them up way before that. My little truck (230K) is getting pretty bad. Dosen't look like there is any rust on your Toyota
Here's my favorite

Ron, you're a man after my own heart. I've owned many Jeeps over the years, CJ5's, CJ7's. I even bought a new Wrangler when they came out with the classic grill & headlights again in '97. Now I'm driving a Cherokee, but I am seriously lusting after one of those Wrangler Unlimited 4drs. myself. It's all I can do to hold off for a year or two till I can find a used one.
Here's the Cherokee
(http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/OzarkRamblr/Various%20Pics/IMG_20070721_0001.jpg)
My huntin' rig? If I had a camera handy, I'd send you a photo of my boots and backpack.
Ron...like I said yesterday...BUY IT!
Roger, the dealer called this morning and told me the other dealer that had it sold it yesterday. It was the Rescue Green color that I wanted, 6 speed manual with 2 tops, a hard top and a soft top. but I didn't want that Satelite radio and those 6 infinity speakers that were in it anyway so I'll just keep looking. :readit:
I'm still trying to work a deal on a Unlimited Rubicon, that's the one that will climb mountains. Do you think we'd need that up in huntin camp?
Ron I always thought you were a GM man through and through!! With all the faithful years of service you gave them then you turn around and look for something like that!! I guess I was wrong. :biglaugh: :biglaugh: just messing looks good I always said a jeep would be the best of both worlds, it is like a 4 wheel drive convertable.
Three "specialty" hunting rigs- (http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/wapiteee/DSC00005-1.jpg)
This is my Colorado elk hunt rig this year.-
(http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/wapiteee/adventuretrailer004.jpg)
The "zuki" stays up on property outside Land Between the Lakes for hunting/scouting that area. 19.00 for a fill up and she goes a ways on a tank of gas.
Ron I have been told that the best place in the nation to get a Jeep is Jasper Jeep just north of Atlanta. A guy I know flew from Phoenix to Jasper and drove one home and still saved a ton. He said they had at least three of every model and color.
For all you "Boots and Backpack" guy's, do you get to start your hunts right out the backdoor? I hike and hunt in "foot and horseback" areas 90% of the time, but I have to drive to get to the trailhead.
I was hoping Jeep would go ahead with this concept truck. Its supposed to come with a diesel if they go ahead with manufacturing it.

rtherber, now there's a huntin truck. I'll ask the dealer about it tomorrow.
Great gas mileage, seldom breaks down, good company and carries all I need.
SHE bought the new '07 in the Sahara package, bought a personalized license plate with "HERJEEP" on it and by golly I sit on the passenger side when I get to ride in it. (http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/wapiteee/gatlinburg12-06116.jpg)
There is a conversion available to make the newer jeeps a truck like that. It's expensive though its from quadratec. I think the 4 door jeeps are interesting. Not a big fan of all the plastic they use for the bumpers etc. But there are plety of aftermarket ones availible. The rubicon is a great version. It has all the lockers and heavier axles alredy.
There is a bunch of these driving around here near me.

Good lookin truck Biggie, here's my 3/4 ton Duramax Diesel, 2003 with 69,000miles on it. Love those 4 doors.
Well I went and did it today. I made a deal on a new Jeep Wrangler 4dr Rubicon. This baby has a long wheel base and rides like a dream, I think even Biggie would like it. I'm picking it up monday, It's just like this one only in Red with 2 tops, hard top and soft top with 6 speed manual tran. I'll post pictures when I get her home....I'm keeping the Chev. Diesel,

Here's my '89 Dakota 4x4. It's been a good one; currently has 316,000 on it w/ no rebuilds. I have a '95 just like it but a maroon color and it has the Magnum 318 V8. It was abused by a former owner and has required alot of work. If I can get it slapped back together enough to run tomorrow, I'll post a pic of it too!
its a jeep thing, ya wouldn't understand!
ya know what i mean right! :saywhat:
Congrats on the new Jeep Ron. Look forward to seeing pics of it when you get it home.
Here's my 94 Toy extra cab with crappy $25 camper shell my family hates...but it was only $25....and I'm an engineer (read "Cheap")
This was on the annual Trad Bowhunters of Georgia January hog hunt. Note shiny red paint - that's courtesy of a spike buck that ran out in front of me and came $700 short of totalling the truck.....thank you little fella for the new paint and the tasty hams!
SOS, get a grill guard like is on my black chevy above and Biggies red Dodge. I hit a deer with the truck I had before this one. I was only going about 30mph but he busted through the grill and punctured my tranmissiom cooler. I thought it was anti freeze leaking so I drove home only 5 miles....burned up my transmissiom. I wouldn't be without a grill guard now.

yup. Between my (little 6 acre  ) place and three of my neighbors about 1000 acres total of private land (all connecting) right out my door. Our land also borders on the Wayne National Forest, and the closest public access to the Wayne is a good 10 miles away. Many, Many thousands of acres right out my back door in S.E. Ohio. To bad there are no big deer left around here :biglaugh:
Josh
That new JT concept looks like an updated version of a CJ-8.
I used to have a 78 CJ-5 it was kind of a hassle trying to put the 68" longbow in it.
Scooter,
Check out my CJ5 on the first or second page. as far as putting a bow in it... your right not much room in there. But my little regular cab pickup doesn't either. LOL so the CJ5 is roomy in comparison.
well i can't seem to find any of mine so this is the best i could do. Thats it in the background!
Ron lemmie know how you like the 4 door jeep after you've had it awhile....I like the looks of 'em and was considering one for around here.
I agree on the grillguard. I hit a deer on the way to the airport once and it caused me to mmmmmmiss all my flights on that trip. I've hit two with a grillguard and have had no damage to the truck itself. Be sure and get a heavy duty one. There are cheap ones on the market that look good but don't do much to protect your fenders :-(
I guess we'll have to call your new Jeep the Bigmobile once you get her all tricked out. I have to whole heartedly agree on the grill guard. My truck is a 4 door Ford F-250 4 wd. I lunched a fat doe in the fog one morning running 70 mph. Instant hamburger with a lot of noise. I jumped out to inspect the damage to my front end, The Ranch Hand grill guard did it's job. It got a little nasty in the process but didn't bend and I didn't need a repair shop. Can't say the same about the doe.
Here's my truck and one of my old buses that I keep for hunters to sleep in.
What she looks like loaded and finished with a hunt out west. 8 hours of driving and I'll be home. This was the final pic from TXS07. Me, Dad, and Rick Savage. The trailer is the reminance of another hunting truck I owned and drove when I was 20 years old.

Curtis, i have a 1959 Ford school bus down behind my camp, i used it for camping before i built my cabin, they make a GREAT place to camp,i now use mine for storage, for deer stands etc.
Thats cool Tim! I actually have a couple. I wanted a bus since I was very young. I suppose the Partrige family and the hippie buses of old intrigued me. Besides, I like a goood challenge and if you've never built a bus you wouldn't understand. There is nothing square or level in the whole project. Here is a pic of the inside of my personal hunting bus. There's been a few Tradgangers catch some beauty rest in this one. Jason Westbrock even rested his long frame on the couch there while Charlie took the lower bunk and I took the top. It was a full load!
CK
Do you need that bus to push the F250 everywhere you go or just in camp?
:bigsmyl:
QuoteJason Westbrock even rested his long frame on the couch there while Charlie took the lower bunk and I took the top. It was a full load!
Who was driving?? :scared:
Well here's my truck and my crew. This baby has the 300 6cyl and will run till the body falls off! the crew is our boxer Stella and my sons two boxers Brutus and Lillybean. they all three love venison.<>< (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v83/fishrofmen1/DSCN2801.jpg)
Here's my diesel from the back. Can you tell I'm a Bow hunter? :goldtooth:
Ron, she bought hers in October when they first came out here. She was getting 22mpg up in the Smokey Mtns. back in December(no air conditioning)and that seems to be the best gas mileage so far. The Rubicon is geared lower so I don't know about yours. BTW, that soft top removal takes a little getting used to compared to taking the soft top off my regular Wrangler. She really likes hers and I'm still partial to the smaller one. The next thing you need to get for the Jeep is a: www.adventuretrailer.com- (//http://) I like the "Chaser" model.
Roger, I've got both tops. I figured to use the soft top in summer and the hard top the rest of the year.
On the jeep site they make it look easy to put down the soft top.
Is Her's got a Automatic or Manual transmission? I was hoping the manual would do a little better on milage. :readit:
She's got the automatic and also she has the full doors. Did you get the half doors? Heck, she even has power windows-who ever heard of a real JEEP having power windows?LOL- Ask your dealer if they got the quality control problem with the T-tops on the hardtop straightened out. I heard there was a leaking issue. She only has the soft top but it comes with the "Sundowner" version-which allows for a flip back front compartment top back without taking the whole top off. The V-6 seems peppy enough but I'm hearing this mini-van engine(already in production) is just a temporary powerplant- maybe a small diesel in the future.I like that truck prototype-and the top comes off on it.
QuoteHeck, she even has power windows-who ever heard of a real JEEP having power windows?LOL-
Ahhhh... no comment  :o
:biglaugh:
Got the '95 Dakota back on the road today. The 318 V8 runs really smooth. Just gotta run down a used transfer case and I'll have the 4wd working. Till then I'll have to make it somehow in 2wd.

Pickin her up Monday Morning..1 more day and 2 more nights :banghead:
:biglaugh:
Somebody around here has a jeep truck that looks just like that concept truck - it's a "Brute" coversion from American Expedition Vehicles. Pretty sweet if you have the cash. A local guy does it for Flannagans Jeep in Missoula.
http://www.aev-conversions.com/products/brute/
I loved jeeps when they had the straight 6. I had a cherokee with it and that thing had some get-up-and-go.
Richie, You need to to edit your pix to the right size...NO BIGGER THAN 640 WIDE.......I've deleted a dozen of your pix in the few hours.....Please edit them before you post them....
The link was wrong for those trailers
But my gosh those things are expesive
I think the AEV conversion is about $8,000- I couldn't stand to mess up my little Wrangler for the conversion. I'll wait and see if the JT comes out.
Jason, they do think alot of their trailers. I made the little trailer I carry my wall tent, gear to Colorado with a lot cheaper than what they want. OF course, it doesn't look as "purty", either...
My daily driver/hunting truck is a CJ8. I had a friend take a picture and email it to me. I can't figure out now how to get the picture from my email to here.
J.D. on the bottom of the page click on "contact us" and email them the picture to post for you.
Thanks Ron I will.
Here is my rig. 1980 International Scout II. The last year they were made. Took me a full year to get her into hunting shape. Looks like there are now two scouts on this post. That really is old school with old school trad gear!
Clay
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a338/DAGATOR16/SCOUT%20II/s1-1.jpg)
In the early 80's as someone else said jeep made a pickup version of the cj7 added about 2 feet and called it cj8 or scrambler. Mine is a 83 with a 360 v8 and more mods than I can think of. Jeeps are my other hobbie. Unfortunately computors are not I am not going to get a picture posted.
DaGator, neat looking old scout, i saw one for sale last week that was camo and no top.
J.D. Yeah those CJ-8's were the best, too bad they only made them for three years.
J.D., I had a Scrambler, bought it used in 85. It had a custom cap over the little box, like a little pickup. It was a great huntin vehicle.
I should have a picture of it somewhere.
I'm picking up my new Wrangler 4dr Rubicon in the morning. :jumper: :jumper: :jumper:
heres my rig and all my friends,

You can email me the pic and I'll post it for you.

Just make sure the subject is something I'll see.
Her she is finely sitting in my back yard. Driving home on the highway I was impressed how smooth and quiet it road. It's been awhile since I drove a stick, this may take a little getting use to.
Listening to the salesman as he went through the instructions about the off road capibilitys, I'm thinkin...am I ever going to need to climb a mountain with this thing? :scared:
I think I'll take off the rest of the hard top tomorrow and use the cloth top until this fall. As long as I've got it I might as well use it... :readit:
That is a nice looking ride you got there Ron. I am sure you wont have a problem driving those trails up north.
WOW!! That is a beauty Ron!! Glad you found the one you wanted!! Those first few scratches are SURE gonna hurt!! I sure like the looks of those!
Ron - My wife would love me forever if I came home with one of those!!!!!!!
Congrats and hope it sees a few deer this fall.
Jake
Ya Gotta love that Fire Engine Red, it's helps I'm a Firefighter to though.....All Joking aside, it's one nice rig. You might as well get that first scratch out of the way soon...that way you won't feel so bad when it inevitably happens.....Congrats, Suty
Ron that's cool looking. The rubicon has grear capabilities. I have really enjoyed all the rigs. Jason I will email you, Thank you very much.
I don't own one but I wonder what this baby would cost. Made by International Harvester Diesel and 4WD

Thank you Jason!!!
No problem JD
Ron,
Man that is sweet looking. I'm not a big fan of red vehicles but that looks nice.
Now you just need a winch on the front and you'll be pretty much unstoppable. Of course as prety and new as that is the scratches will hurt.
Lets see, Ron-----4wheelParts.com and quadratec.com--yep, they've already got tons of aftermarket accessories for your JK---BEWARE!! We see the new and "before" pic, give it a while and we'll be seeing the winch, massive bumpers,etc...The 3.7 V-6 seems to have adequate power.
Since we're featuring Jeeps, anyone have an old CJ-6? They were pretty scarce. Civilian model of the military Jeep ambulance. They are scarce as hen's teeth.
My first Jeep was a pickup in the early 1970's. I'll see if I can dig up a picture.
nice trucks!!!

Nice truck Curt. If my 4runner dies some day, that'll be my next!
Ron, great looking jeep there!! Been looking at one myself for the wife but was a little concerned about gas mileage as she would drive it around 65 miles a day back and forth to work. Do they make a grill guard for those?
Joe
Here is my old work truck. It was great to use while hunting on private ground that was infested with trespassers. LOL
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n140/702plmo/DCFN0002.jpg)
Figured I'd post mine as well. (http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k209/hogdancer/jeep020.jpg)
Here's the Zebra, the one I use on the farm and as a daily driver at times. 22 mpg average with 4x4 at farm, city, and highway.
My first rig was a 1953 M38A1 made by the military--even came with the mounting plate for the machine gun in the back---It looked just like a cj5 with the round fenders----I am trying to dig up an old pic---I sold it about 10 yrs ago or so.
The is my sons new rig We are going to use to get deer from the woods to the house.

"You stick the damned thing you get it out!" ;0)
He and his buddies engineered som contraption with boards and logs...

702plmo, I am impressed! If I were a youngster again... :readit:
You don't get to sit in THAT driver's seat with a head full of ignorance! I would say that your son is a lucky young man, but I bet he has worked hard to get where he is. Good luck this season!
Killdeer
This is mine and my brothers truck. its the 3rd dakota we have had--paid for in full with fur money, who says the the fur is out of style? All the bells and whistles ya can ask for, and some we didnt. Only wish it got better than 16mi/gal. Our first dakota got 30mi/gal on average. just gotta pile up them possums to afford to go hunting!

Got an 02 tacoma not pics here, its not only my hunting rig its my only rig!! Gets me where I wanna go elk country or grocery store.
I've posted it before, but it might be worth seeing again. Not very comfy and not very fast, but it'll run all day on a pack of Oreos. :jumper:

You might want to upgrade to two wheels in front. Or at least practice rolling with a bow in hand. LOL
Great pic.

Thanks for the kind words. He has worked hard to get to where he is now. I have also worked hard on keeping him in line. He is my best hunting partner I have ever had.
My son is the one driving the ponies and that is my father-in-law in the back and that is his cousin riding "Shotgun"
Wow Curtis! Back when we had a huntin' bus, it didn't have a TV. It had AM and FM though! It was hand painted with oil based O.D. green surplus paint!
Man Roger, your kids are really growing  It seems just like yesterday they were little tykes :readit:
Tell Danny there's NO WAY he'll ever get to drive my new Jeep. :biglaugh:

Though the trunk is plety big enough this one won't see a deer.
here is a better pick of the goat. Hey its a trad car. LOL
Hey Ron, My son met you at the last Comptoms and has given you an open invitation to come down and he will take you a ride in his new wagon. He wont even charge you for the first ride. LOL
What kinda wagon?....paddy wagon? ... :D
Speaking of Jeeps. We had one of these when I was growing up. We used to jump sand dunes where UKbowman hunted hogs before it became taboo. RAT PATROL!!

Ron...he's banned from my truck, too... ;0)

that is wicked,, btw I am looking for a 68 -73 ford bronco or chevy k5 blazer...thanks..
Almost all of my hunting involves this boat in some form or fashion. I paid about 7 to 8 times more for it than I did my 98 Durango that I drive now. Bear, deer, moose, mtn. goat, ducks, fish, you name it, it get's me there. Except for the pic, of course, we didn't go anywhere till the tide came back in.

This does it for now: '03 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel. Weighs about 4 tons but will knock down better fuel mileage fully loaded pulling the trailer than most gas pick-ups do empty. The only trouble is lifting a deer onto the tailgate is a little tough by myself... although that hasn't been a problem so far this season!

I've got my 13' utility trailer packed and ready for the long haul north to Shrewhaven this week. This will be the maiden voyage for the new 4dr Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I brought the load home from the farm yesterday in a very high wind and the little jeep pulled the load with no problem.
