Hello. I am new here. I was told by a local archery shop in San Diego to come to this posting board for information. I have an old Damon Howatt Hunter recurve (approx. 35 yrs old) in near perfect condition that I might want to sell. Can that be done at this site? Can people here tell me the approximate value of the bow? (62 inches, 48 lbs @ 28 inches, Rosewood, near perfect condition, 5 pin site installed, quiver holder ready). It has been hanging in the closet unused for 22 to 25 years. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with my questions.
Hi Steve,
Welcome!! If you're into longbows and recurves this is the best site on the internet. As for the bow, if you go down to the classified section under "traditional bows" you can list a description and post pics (if you've got'em). You do have to list a price unless you want to trade the bow. I have no idea what it's worth - you might get some idea by looking on the internet mega selling site for everything under the sun. If you're interested the Bear State Bowhunters have a 3D shoot this Sunday at their site on the road up to Valley Center, you could even bring that bow and try to sell it there. Good luck and again welcome to the campfire.
