Title: Anyone using the minwax spray laquer?
Post by: Tedd on July 14, 2007, 02:34:00 PM
I made up a few arrows using the Minwax spray laquer. It dries in about 5 min and requires no sanding between coats. It's really easy to use and looks great.

The can says "indoor" use. But it seems at least as durable as dipping laquer.
I never saw this spray stuff before. I noticed it at my Tru-value hardware store and gave it a try.

I will do a water test on it when I buy another can.

Has anyone tries it?

Tedd -- any chance you mean Minwax Helmsman spar-urethane spray? This stuff comes in glossy, semi-gloss, and matte and IS waterproof. Given it's ease of use, overall quality, and ease of chip and scratch repair (just steelwood the area and spray again), I've been using it for all my bows for some time now. Dave

I use this for my arrows also and like it.

No,
It must be new. It is minwax spray laquer. I have been using the spar prior to this.

I'm talking about arrows, not bow finish. Sorry.
