paint from bow limbs. I got a set of longbow limbs that have 3 or 4 coats of paint on them. I need to know what works best to remove it without hurting the limb? any help will be appreciated.<><
i use asatone. it is a paint cleaner/thinner. you can buy it at the hardware store. I use it to clean my limbs works great. hope this helps.
Acetone Frank. Works great and will not harm limbs.

Thanks guys. I'll have to get me some of that.<><
I've used the acetone but still prefer 0000 steel wool, mineral spirits and elbow grease.
600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and keep it wet finish off with 1500 grit wet
Frank, if ya use acetone, wear rubber gloves and a mask, fumes are harmeful and if it gets on your skin it is harmful to your body.

I've used the spray Goof-off. Great results. Does not seem to bother the finish.
